Essentially, the garage is an extension of our homes where we store things and park our vehicles. Have you ever thought of adding a workbench in there? I can only imagine how relaxed I would be if I tried to repair something or pour dirt into a flowering pot on a workbench in my garage compared to anywhere else in my home.
It might take several rounds of purging and organizing before you can create such a space, but the end result will be totally worth it for hands-on people. What's the point in having all the tools and gadgets without a workbench? Make sure this surface is rigid, well-lit, close to a power supply, and near a stool or a chair for you to sit on.
I have also written two other pages on the same topic: make the most out of your garage and beautiful garages in the past.. but this might get you thinking about adding a workbench against one of the walls..
